MNZ has received advice that Motorcycling Australia is in the process of posting applications for an Oceania Team to contest the challenge in the Waikato at Labour weekend at our NZ championships. While this information has been a little slow in reaching our shores we are happy that we have the opportunity to “fight” for the retention of the shield. As seems historically the right of the visitors to nominate the team ‘make up’ the Australians are posting applications for: ·      1 Expert rider to contest the Expert line·      1 Woman rider to contest the B [intermediate] line·      1 Under 21 yrs age to contest the Expert line MNZ is now calling for applications from NZ riders to fill positions in a team that will match the above. That is 1 Expert, 1 Woman and 1 Under 21 yrs age. While MNZ is interested in fostering this Annual Match we also understand that there are individual titles at stake at the same event.
